CDP Employment Consultants
All Aspects Recruitment & HR Services are currently seeking 2 CDP Employment Consultants for Permanent Positions.
- 1 Darwin based role with occasional travel to Bathurst Island.
- 1 Bathurst Island based role with accommodation included.
The roles require relevant recent experience in employment services and/or case work, preferably in the Community Development programme.
Responsibilities include:
- Identifying aspirations, motivation and increasing employment opportunities for clients.
- Effectively manage a caseload of jobseekers by identifying barriers to employment and providing support, guidance, and tailored solutions.
- Ensure compliance with programme guidelines and organisations policies and procedures.
- Promote Employment programs to customers, families, staff, support groups and service agencies, within the local community by Liaising, engaging, and involving community groups, Elders, Leaders, service agencies, businesses to promote CDP’s aims and visions within the local community whilst respecting and understanding local community traditions.
- Develop, engage, and/or keep up-to-date information of services that are in, or visit, the community that assist in overcoming Job Seeker barriers.
- Performing duties and responsibilities in a manner which reflects and responds to continuous improvement, including participation in meetings, policy and organisational development activities as required.
- Undertake structured and on the job training as required.
- Other duties as consistent with the classification of the position as directed by the CDP Site Manager.
Requirements:
- A demonstrated knowledge of the CDP Contractual obligations and ability to interpret and apply current and emerging guidelines and procedures.
- Ability to build rapport and maintain effective relationships with clients, peers, and relevant agencies.
- Sound computer literacy and data management skills.
- A high standard of verbal and written communication as evidenced by the proven ability to prepare correspondence and liaise effectively with a diverse range of people.
- Proven ability to manage time and work load effectively to meet competing deadlines, and a commitment to maintaining a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
- A demonstrated understanding and awareness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and understanding of issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in contemporary Australian society.
- Hold a Working with Children card and National Police Check or ability to obtain.
- A qualification on Employment Services or Community Services is highly desirable.
